The Disappearing Chinese Colour explores just such a hidden and precious tradition - the aesthetics of Chinese colour. This culture is not only embodied in paintings, costumes and architecture, but is also deeply integrated into all aspects of traditional Chinese beauty. However, with the change of time and the intermingling of cultures, many traditional Chinese colours have gradually disappeared from people's view and seem to be left only as a historical memory. The aim of this book is to re-explore these disappearing Chinese colours and bring them back to us through a visual approach. Through an in-depth study of traditional aesthetics of colour, combined with creative design techniques, I will present readers with an inspiring and artistic book in which they can appreciate the unique charm of traditional Chinese colours and the deep cultural connotations behind these colours.
